Salary: Non-renumerated, reasonable expenses are reimbursed

Somerset Skills & Learning (SS&L) is a thriving Community Interest Company delivering education and skills to around 4,000 learners each year. Working with over 145 employers, we improve confidence, wellbeing, employability and life chances across Somerset and beyond.

We are seeking two Independent Non-Executive Directors to join our Board at an exciting point in our development.

Chair & Trustees for Georgia’s Voice

Location: Cornwall
Time Commitment: Approximately one day per month (Chair slightly more)
Salary: Non-renumerated, reasonable expenses are reimbursed

Georgia’s Voice is a suicide prevention charity providing vital mental health support to young women aged 18–25 across Cornwall. Founded in 2020 following the tragic death of 19-year-old Georgia, the charity exists to ensure that no young woman feels unheard, unsupported or alone at her most vulnerable moment.

As the charity enters an exciting new phase, with an ambitious five-year strategy focused on strengthening impact, sustainability and reach, we are seeking to appoint a new Chair and several Trustees to help shape our future and strengthen our governance at this critical time.

This is a powerful opportunity to join a values-led organisation making a real and measurable difference to young women’s lives in Cornwall. We are refreshing and growing our Board to ensure it has the breadth of skills, experience and perspective needed to support the charity’s next stage of development.

Chair & Non-Executive Directors – EdenServ

Salary: £500/day

EdenServ is seeking to appoint its first Independent Chair and three Non-Executive Directors to help shape a brand-new, council-owned company set to transform how environmental services are delivered across East Devon.

EdenServ represents a bold and ambitious shift by East Devon District Council: bringing recycling, waste and environmental services back in-house through a commercial, agile model with strong public sector values at its core. Launching in July 2026, the company will deliver essential frontline services to over 150,000 residents, with scope to grow and evolve over time.

This is a rare opportunity to shape a new organisation from inception, setting its culture, governance and strategic direction at a critical stage. Board members will play a central role in establishing a high-performing, purpose-led organisation that delivers both commercial value and meaningful impact for communities and the environment.
