About Us

Rock Pool is one of the UKs leading agencies providing trauma informed training and organisational development.

We are entering an exciting new chapter, transitioning from a Community Interest Company to a registered charity – as part of this evolution, we are seeking an exceptional Chair and a founding group of Trustees to form a dynamic ‘shadow board’ ahead of formal registration.

This is a rare opportunity to help build the governance, influence and reach of an organisation working at the intersection of trauma, safeguarding, and recovery.

We are seeking a credible and connected leader with:

  • A strong profile in at least one of the following; domestic abuse, sexual violence, mental health or family support
  • Significant board-level experience and a deep understanding of governance
  • The ability to act as an ambassador, building partnerships and visibility
  • Strategic insight to support the organisation through its transition and growth

Trustees (3-4 roles)

We are building a balanced and skilled board and are particularly interested in individuals with experience in:

  • Health systems – understanding of the NHS, public health, or trauma-informed care pathways
  • Local Government – Adult or Children’s Services, safeguarding, or system leadership
  • Finance – financial oversight, sustainability, risk management
  • Voluntary sector leadership – including charity governance, commissioning, or tendering
  • Marketing, PR & Communications – raising profile, influencing audiences, and storytelling
  • Grant fundraising – securing income and supporting long-term sustainability

Why join Rock Pool?

  • Be part of a founding board at a pivotal moment of change
  • Contribute to an organisation delivering meaningful impact in people’s lives
  • Work alongside passionate leaders committed to trauma-informed, values-led practice
