Trevi is seeking an inspirational and visionary Chief Executive to lead one of the most prominent women’s charities in the Southwest of England. This pivotal role involves working closely with the Board of Trustees to shape and steer the charity’s direction and leadership. The Chief Executive will be responsible for driving the organisation’s growth, ensuring exceptional service delivery, and upholding Trevi’s core values and strategic goals. Additionally, the CEO will serve as the public face of Trevi, acting as a passionate ambassador for the charity while offering strong support and guidance to the senior management team.

Chair and Trustee Recruitment, Step One Charity

Location: Devon
Renumeration: Non-renumerated – expenses paid
Time commitment: Chair – 22 – 30 hours per month, Trustee – 10 – 15 hours per month

We are working with Step One Charity, which offers a comprehensive combination of mental health support, supported living, and employment opportunities to up to 800 people in Devon each year

Their mission is to support people to build a pathway to independence, live a fulfilling life and reach their own potential through a range of specialist mental health and wellbeing services.

In the Chair, we are seeking someone who ideally brings experience in Chairing in a similar capacity. This could be a charity or Public Sector Board, or who brings significant experience as a charity Trustee with Committee chair experience. In addition, as our Chair or our new Trustees, you may bring experience in one (or more) of these areas:

  • Clinical background with an emphasis on mental health
  • NHS Commissioning
  • Finance and / or investment management
  • Legal
  • Property acquisition or management (either commercial or domestic)
  • Commercial expertise and acumen

Harbour Commissioner / Non Executive Director Recruitment

For 150 years Falmouth Harbour Commissioners have protected Falmouth Harbour during storms, safely managed marine accidents and pollution risks and have provided a gateway to Cornwall and our town for people from all over the world.

We are currently seeking two new Commissioners to join our small and dynamic Board who are entrusted with the Harbour future and have strategic oversight of a wide range of activities which are vital to the safe management and economic prosperity of the Falmouth Harbour.

We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills with a proven track record of building high performing, collaborative teams and will have operated at FD level previously or equivalent senior position in a larger environment.

Salary for this role is £95k – £135k + generous benefits, dependent on experience.

Chair for LGBTQ+ health and wellbeing charity

Location: South East / hybrid
Non-renumerated

We are working with a small LGBTQ+ health and wellbeing charity in the South East which at present mainly provides safe spaces for the community and their families to meet. They also provide intervention and signposting to and for partners and communities across the region.

Due to a number of recent changes and the appointment of new Trustees, the Board is seeking a new Chair, either on an interim or permanent basis.

This person must bring considerable board / trustee / chair experience and will work closely with their interim Chief Executive to embed good governance to ensure the charity can continue to provide support, services and safe spaces and to thrive and grow into the future.

Board meetings are currently held online once a month. There is an in person ½ away day arranged on 19th July which the new / interim Chair will ideally need to attend and will be required to meet onsite from time to time.

Board and Committee Business Manager / Company Secretary

Location: Cornwall / hybrid
Salary: Circa £45,000 – £55,000
Full or Part-time

We are working with an organisation in Cornwall which operates at the public / private interface, leading the search for a Board and Committee Business Manager.

The primary function will be to provide efficient, proactive governance support including board meetings, committees and working groups and will work closely with the CEO, Chair, Board and Executive. You will have a relevant governance qualification (e.g. CGI) and extensive experience within highly governed organisations, managing change in complex, ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
